The specs say it's slightly slower, but I certainly can't feel the difference when a new project opens. So I have direct experience with replacing an 850 EVO with a Crucial MX3000, which has been running my VIs every day since April 26th. I am using it as a libraries drive over eSATA. Just went through the same thing, and the same reasoning: all my other internal SSDs are Samsung 850s, but when it came time to replace my 1Tb "Samples" drive (the LASS set and Cinesamples winds, brass and percussion drove me near the cliff, NI updates drove me over), the lower price of the 2Tb Crucial was significant enough to make me buy it. Anyone have experience with the 2T MX300? I'd be using it as a libraries drive only over eSATA. As great as the 850 EVO is, it runs about $150 more than the Crucial MX300. Otherwise, things seem to be running smoothly, as expected. Another issue is that a VST2 version for ARM is supposed to be included, but it’s not being detected by DAWs due to a last-minute bug. As for the bass amps, they are called Bass Invader and Bass Pro.Ī known issue with the update is that Creator Tools 1.4.0 does not connect when Kontakt is running natively on ARM. The update brings compatibility with Apple Silicon processors, macOS Monterey, Windows 11, 2 bass amps, and plenty of bug fixes for Kontakt and NI effects plug-ins such as Replika, Plate Reverb, and Phasis. So getting Kontakt 6.7 out of the door is a seriously big step forward. Kontakt isn’t just the Native Instruments sampler, it’s also the bedrock of countless instrument and sample libraries used in the upper echelons of professional audio production. Bringing Kontakt to ARM is a very important task.
