Every new app that launches on a device (using Internet or not) is observable by Qustodio, and parents can block apps or permit them. From websites visited to apps used, Qustodio has been far more accurate in keeping tabs on things.

As such, it can provide a much more accurate observation of what is happening with that device.

Qustodio is an app/program you install on every device you want to monitor. Because Circle just watches devices on your WiFi, it can monitor these friends' devices when on your network. One other thing that Circle is useful for (where Qustodio can't do) is in monitoring friends' devices that come into your home and log onto your WiFi. Circle shines in its ability to make on-the-fly changes you can grant an extra hour of Internet time to someone with the push of a button on your app, and it can grant one-time exceptions that don't adjust the established screen time rules. For example, you can limit time spent on Amazon or Disney or YouTube (but virtually any Google app is considered by Circle as "YouTube"), but not on the vast majority of Android apps. Finally, Circle can only "control" or monitor a very small set of apps that it is familiar with. Thus, you really can't tell what websites people are viewing. In addition, Circle will only report back the web server domains rather than actual URLs that people visit. For example, Circle can't tell the difference between Google Music (i.e., streaming music) and YouTube (i.e., watching videos). find that Qustodio is far more useful.Ĭircle just "observes" your WiFi traffic and "guesses" at what sites are being visited and what apps are being used.
